Our Promise
We Stand Behind Our Work
Bluestone Contractors provides a written warranty on all qualifying renovation, remodeling, and construction work. This warranty is aligned with the standards of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Residential Construction Performance Guidelines, and Florida law.
All warranty terms are provided in writing at project completion. The warranty becomes effective on the date of substantial completion.
Note on Florida Statute §553.837
This statute establishes a mandatory one-year warranty for newly constructed homes (never previously occupied).
For renovation and remodeling work, Bluestone provides a voluntary written warranty as described below, consistent with the implied warranty of good and workmanlike manner recognized under Florida common law and the protections of Florida Chapter 558.

Claims Process
How to File a Warranty Claim
We make the claims process straightforward. Here is exactly what to do if you believe a defect is covered under your warranty:
Submit Written Notice
Contact Bluestone Contractors in writing — by email or certified mail — describing the defect, its location, and when you first noticed it. Written notice protects your rights under Florida Statute Chapter 558 and our warranty terms.
Florida Law
Florida Statutory Framework
Our warranty is designed to comply with — and in many cases exceed — the minimum protections provided under Florida law for residential construction, renovation, and remodeling clients.
Key Florida Statutes That Protect You
- §553.837 — Home Warranty (effective July 1, 2025): Requires all builders of newly constructed homes to provide a minimum one-year transferable warranty against material code violations. Bluestone applies equivalent coverage standards to qualifying renovation and remodeling projects.
- Chapter 558 — Construction Defects: Establishes the pre-suit process for construction defect claims — including written notice, right to inspect, and right to repair — governing disputes between contractors and property owners in Florida.
- Chapter 489 — Contractor Licensing: Requires all contractors performing work in Florida to hold valid state licenses. Unlicensed contractor work forfeits warranty protections. Bluestone maintains all required Florida licenses.
- Implied Warranty of Workmanlike Manner: Under Florida common law, all contractors impliedly warrant that their work is performed in a good and workmanlike manner. Our written warranty makes this obligation explicit and provides a clear process for enforcement.
- Statute of Repose (§95.11(3)(c)): Florida generally imposes a 10-year statute of repose on latent construction defect claims from the date of completion. This does not extend our warranty period, but it preserves your right to bring certain legal claims beyond the warranty window.

How do I verify a contractor's Florida license before hiring them?
Who pulls permits in Boca Raton versus other Palm Beach County communities?
